Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy serves to describe exactly what we mean by misuse or abuse and helps us identify transgressions and react accordingly. Under this policy, Avertro reserves the right to remove content that is inconsistent with the spirit of the guidelines.
This Acceptable Use Policy (Policy) sets out the standards of conduct that apply to anyone using the software and services provided by Avertro Pty Ltd (ACN 636 011 124) (Avertro, we, us), including the CyberHQ® platform, our website, and any related hosted or self-hosted components, dashboards, sensors, agents, or tools (together, the services).
This Policy forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Use.
Capitalised terms not defined in this Policy have the meaning given in the Terms of Use. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use will prevail. For information about how we collect, use, and protect personal information, see our Privacy Notice.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or security practices. We will inform you if we make a material change via email or an in-platform notification. Non-material updates may be made by publishing a revised version on our website. The current version of the Acceptable Use Policy is available on our website.
1. Who this Policy applies to
This Policy applies to you, your authorised users, and anyone else who accesses or uses the services on your behalf or through your account. You are responsible for ensuring that your authorised users comply with this Policy, and you remain responsible for their acts and omissions as if they were your own.
2. General Conduct
You must not use the services to:
-
engage in, promote, or facilitate any illegal purpose, or use the services in violation of any applicable law, including data protection, privacy, anti-spam, or export control laws;
-
violate the privacy of others, including by publishing or disclosing another person’s private or confidential information without their permission, or by collecting personal information about other users of the services except as permitted by the services’ intended functionality;
-
stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any person, or post direct or specific threats of violence;
-
misrepresent your identity or affiliation, impersonate any person or entity, or disguise the origin of any content, including by spoofing, phishing, or falsely implying sponsorship or association with Avertro or any third party;
-

-
disparage Avertro, or our partners, vendors, or affiliates, in a manner that is false or misleading; or
-
promote or advertise products or services other than your own, without our prior written authorisation.
3. Content standards
Content means any information, data, documents, configurations, findings, comments, or other material that you or your authorised users submit to, upload to, or generate using the services. You must not submit or generate content that:
-
infringes Avertro’s or a third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights, or that you do not have the right to submit;
-
is deceptive, fraudulent, defamatory, or obscene
-
harmful to minors, including child sexual abuse material. If we become aware of such content, we will remove it and report it to the appropriate authority, as applicable;
-
attacks or demeans any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or medical condition;
-

4. System and data integrity
You must not, and must not permit any person to:
-
probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the services or any system or network that hosts them except with our written preauthorisation;
-
circumvent, disable, or attempt to defeat any security or authentication measure of the services;
-
access, monitor, or extract data from the services using any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers, or scripts), other than through our published and approved APIs;
-
impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including by sending a volume of requests that a human could not reasonably generate through normal use, or using the services in a manner materially inconsistent with their documented purpose; or
-
intercept, or attempt to decipher, any transmission to or from the systems that run the services.
Further restrictions on reverse engineering, unauthorised copying, and other conduct affecting our intellectual property rights are set out in the Terms of Use, and apply in addition to this section.
5. Artificial intelligence features
Where the services include any AI-enabled features, you must not use them to:
-
generate deceptive content, including deepfakes or content designed to impersonate a real person or mislead others;
-
attempt to extract, reconstruct, or reverse engineer any underlying model, training data, or prompts through systematic querying or other means; or
-
attempt to manipulate an AI feature into producing outputs that violate this Policy or bypass its intended safeguards.
AI-generated outputs are provided to support, not replace, your own judgement, and should be reviewed by a suitably qualified person before being relied on for any significant decision. AI features are provided on the same basis, and subject to the same warranty position, as the rest of the services under the Terms of Use.
6. Reporting violations
If you become aware of a suspected violation of this Policy, please report it to security@avertro.com. We investigate reports on a best-efforts basis and may take any action described in section 7, at our discretion, in response.
7. Enforcement
Without affecting any other right or remedy available to us, we may remove content, and may suspend or terminate your or any authorised user’s access to the services, without notice, where we reasonably determine that this Policy has been violated. Suspension or termination under this Policy is in addition to, and does not limit, our rights under the Term and Termination provisions of the Terms of Use.
