As Australia’s newly enforced cybersecurity strategy is unveiled, there have been some mixed reactions from the industry. While the general sentiment on the strategy is positive, some tech experts feel there are still some areas that could have been better planned.
Through the three-month accelerator program, the startups were offered mentoring from prominent tech founders and cybersecurity industry giants, as well as pitch coaching. The pitch night event marks the conclusion of the program and aims to connect the startups with potential investors and customers, and further build connections in Tampa Bay’s tech community.

Ian Yip, founder and CEO of cybersecurity startup Avertro has seen them too, and most importantly he’s conscious of being complicit in it.
Tampa Bay Wave, a nonprofit technology accelerator for entrepreneurs, has announced the startups that will participate in its CyberTech|X 2023 Accelerator program including companies from Australia, Israel, Mexico and Singapore.
